Listed below you will find more coins produced by ancient Greece, including
coins of Alexander the Great, the Macedonian Kingdom, Mysia, Macedonia, and
Mesembria. Ancient Greek coinage was produced with many beautiful as well as
interesting motifs, included among these were images of Gorgons, the best known
of these Gorgons was Medusa, while Medusa's face was supposed to have been
beautiful, the faces of the Gorgons on the coins of ancient Greece usually have
hideous looking faces with protruding tongues, and stylized hair to represent
snakes.
